In addition to the projects listed below, which will give you a good idea of the range of telecollaboration projects being done throughout the country, we have compiled a list of telecollaboration projects you can join now!
Knowledge Integration Environment A curriculum which allows students to integrate scientific evidence available online with the principles and science concepts introduced in their science courses. Computer as Learning Partner An on-going educational research effort at the University of California at Berkeley dedicated to informing and improving middle school science instruction; this WEBsite includes portions of a semester-long, integrated thermodynamics, light, and sound curriculum based on their research. Global Schoolhouse The Global Schoolhouse linked schools across the country in collaborative learning projects. The project has officially ended, but the teachers involved in the Global Schoolhouse Project are still on-line, so please feel free to contact them about their experiences and any new projects in which they may be participating. Common Knowledge: Pittsburgh Common Knowledge: Pittsburgh is a collaboration of members of the Pittsburgh Public Schools, the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the University of Pittsburgh. This WEB site features educational resources posted by students and teachers. Journey North A project which utilizes the WEB for tracking wildlife migrations and signs of spring. This site includes a form which allows the viewer to enter one's own wildlife-tracking data. UIUC Learning Resource Server The LRS is a suite of servers, including Gopher and Web servers, that distribute and mediate electronic learning resources for K-12 teachers and students, pre-service teachers, education faculty members and educational researchers. GLOBE Home Page The Globe project involves students making environmental observations at their schools and sharing their data through the Internet. The Ralph Bunche School The home page of the The Ralph Bunche School, an elementary school in Harlem which focuses on computers in education.
